I was with a client today, and he was telling me about all the things he’s doing for other people. I asked him: when are you doing things for yourself? And unfortunately, the answer was “…not very often”.

So many of us wind up in this situation, where we prioritize others’ needs over our own and then wonder why we’re so depleted. It’s imperative that we make sure that we’re attending to ourselves, physically and emotionally, so that we have enough strength to be able to help others.
